Teenager shot in leg in Northwest Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A teenage boy was shot in the leg Tuesday in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said people in a vehicle fired multiple shots and hit the victim, who was standing by West 29th and Stuart streets about 4:45 p.m.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to UF Health. 

Witnesses said the car drove south on Stuart Street but no other suspect information was available.

It's unclear if the shooting was gang related.
