COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -

Two teens were transported to the hospital after the four-wheeler they were riding crashed in Columbia County Sunday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 8 p.m. three girls were riding on a four-wheeler, heading north on Northwest Crawford Court in White Springs.

15-year-old Julia Flannagan was driving the four-wheeler and pulled the wheel too hard to the left in an attempt to avoid a collision with the unknown vehicle, traveling south on Northwest Crawford Court.

The four-wheeler traveled into the ditch and Flannagan and passenger, 14-year-old Lindsey Fullard were ejected from the four-wheeler.

11-year-old Kirsten Thomas was also on board the four-wheeler.

Both the Flannagan and Fullard were transported to Shands UF at Gainesville for precautionary measures due to complaints of numbness, according to FHP. Troopers report the girls were in serious condition.

FHP said none of the girls were wearing seatbelts or helmets on the four-wheeler.
