Thousands arrive at Jacksonville Landing to ring in 2014

Viewers share New Year's resolutions with Channel 4

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Thousands of people descended on the Jacksonville Landing to say goodbye to 2013 and to ring in 2014.

Many of them at least talked a good game with Channel 4 when it came to New Year's resolutions.

One man said he was going to stop drinking coffee and Coke Zero, although he admitted he probably wouldn't.

Beverly Wates said she's actually good at keeping her resolutions.

"I'm very strong willed," Wates said.

Courtney Craig said she's not a resolutionist, but she did say he was cutting back in the new year.

"I'm all about life changes," Craig said. "I'm cutting out the burgers and Hooters wings."

Finally, Aton Evans vowed to keep his new eyeglasses -- at least until March. He promised to let Channel 4 know if he followed through.
