Tim Howard drug tested after record game

Star goalie forced to take drug test after record game

After capturing America's eyes and ears with his astounding World Cup performance, U.S. goalie Tim Howard was drug tested.

He had just set a World Cup record by making 16 saves against Belgium in a 2-1 loss, but after the game he wasn't able to join his teammates in the locker room. FIFA randomly selected him to take the test.

According to FIFA regulations, 2 players from each team are randomly selected after each World Cup match.

FIFA has yet to release the results of Tim Howard's drug test. So far, no player has tested positive for banned substances in this year's World Cup.
