JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A man parked a truck next to a condo building in the Stonebridge community and set it on fire early Friday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said the man was involved in a domestic dispute Thursday night, then came back to Stonebridge early Friday morning and set the fire.

The man tied a belt around his neck and a nearby railing, according to JSO.  He was transported to St. Vincent's and a Baker Act was issued.

Stonebridge is a gated community near Baymeadows Road and Interstate 295.

Charred pickup Channel 4 Producer Tiffany Anthony was at the community and heard explosions.  She said the driver was laying on the ground nearby and appeared to be okay and was talking to investigators.

"He didn't seem like he was on fire in any way, then the firefighters started talking to him, it seemed like they were getting mad at him. Then they put him on a gurney and took him away," said Anthony.

Anthony did not see rescue crews take anybody away, aside from the driver.

A condo building near the back of the complex was evacuated, but residents were allowed back inside shortly before 6 a.m.  Anthony said the building was pretty heavily damage

"There was smoke and fire. They evacuated my building and the building next door. It didn't seem like anybody else was hurt, or any other units were damaged," said Anthony.

JSO said an arson charge would likely be filed against the man.
