Trumbull, challenger gear up for 2018 House race

State Rep. Jay Trumbull, R-Panama City, and a Democratic challenger have opened campaign accounts to run in 2018 for Trumbull's Bay County House seat, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Trumbull has represented House District 6 since 2014. Democrat Jerry Wyche opened an account this week to run in the district.

Also this week, Hawthorne Republican Lilian Bravo Hutchinson opened an account to challenge Rep. Clovis Watson, D-Alachua, in House District 20, which includes parts of Alachua and Marion counties. Meanwhile, Rep. Tracie Davis, D-Jacksonville, opened an account to run again in Duval County's House District 13, and Rep. Patrick Henry, D-Daytona Beach, took the same step in Volusia County's House District 26, according to the Division of Elections.
