2 arrested in theft of Jacksonville Sheriff's Office equipment, vehicle

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tips from citizens helped the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office capture two people who were suspected of stealing equipment and a city car from a task force office on the Northside.

Christopher Dollison, 26, and Jazmine Jarvis, 18, were taken into custody without incident over the weekend. They are charged with two counts of auto theft and burglary.

JSO said that over Memorial Day weekend, a rear door was pried open at the task force office. Items taken included police tactical vests, multiple sets of portable police blue lights for vehicles, ammunition, night vision monoculars, a bulletproof vest, black duffle bag with the word "police" on both sides in white letters, and other police gear.

At a first appearance hearing Monday morning, Dollison was ordered held on $500,000 bond.
