ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A Ponte Vedra Beach family is thankful they were able to get out of their home after a fire Saturday morning.
The fire was reported just before 5 a.m. at 514 Ponte Vedra Boulevard. When St. Johns County first responders arrived, they saw flames shooting into the sky from the back of the house.

The fire was quickly put out, but the damage to the back of the home is extensive, according to fire officials.
There were at least two people in the house and they were able to get out safely.
The fire is under investigation.
