2006: Lou Rawls, the Grammy Award-winning singer best known for hits such as "Love Is a Hurtin' Thing," "Lady Love" and "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine," dies of cancer at age 72 in Los Angeles, California. Rawls' career included more than 70 albums, three Grammys, 13 Grammy nominations, one platinum album, five gold albums and a gold single.
