JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Dozens of volunteers delivered 100's of meals to people in Jacksonville Christmas morning.

Many of  the Meals on Wheels volunteers say they've been helping get meals out during the holidays for years and that the program is a needed service in Jacksonville.

"Do it every year, somebody has got to do it – and it’s not my holiday so this gives a chance for some Christian person to take his time off and be with his family, and people out there need the meals they appreciate it," said Steve Solomon.

Volunteers gathered to collect meals prepared for delivery Wednesday.  The meals go to families who are cannot prepare their own holiday meals for various reasons.
