What a bananna, other beauty foods can do for you

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Almost 20% of people conceal their teeth in photos to hide stains created by bad habits. So how do you get naturally white teeth without having to suck your coffee through a straw?

A single trip to the dentist for a whitening treatment can cost up to $1,000, but there are natural ways to whiten your teeth that you may have in your own kitchen cabinet.

Coconut oil is good for your hair, used for cooking and now can be good for your teeth too! Simply put a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth and swish it between your teeth for 10 to 20 minutes and rinse.

Another trick for whiter teeth is banana peels. Rubbing the inside of a ripe banana peel onto your teeth can help reverse stains! Leave the remnants of the peel on the surface of teeth for 15 minutes then brush away.

For naturally white teeth, also try strawberries. Strawberries are high in vitamin C and can help break down plaque that causes the yellowing of teeth. Just mash up a few and apply directly to teeth.

For hair that just won't seem to grow, biotin can help with that! You can receive biotin from certain foods but sometimes enough isn't absorbed into the body, and if you want to speed up your body's natural growth hormone you can take biotin in a pill form.

And for those brittle nails that keep breaking, some sun can help do the trick. Get more sun and drink more water to help strengthen your brittle nails.
