First Wednesday Art Walk Join artist Steve Williams during this month?s Art Walk. He will combine the Art Walk audience, Twitter audience and fellow artists to create a real-time mobile and Internet performance. Williams' location will be announced prior to the event via @_SteveWilliams and with the tag #pound. Along with Williams, there will be pet-inspired art on display at the Hemming Plaza and the grand opening of the Southlight Gallery on Bay Street. The Art Walk begins at 5 p.m., rain or shine.

WJCT?s Electro Lounge WJCT?s Electro Lounge movie series continues this week. You can see ?New York, New York? at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The 1977 movie stars Robert De Niro and Liza Minnelli as musicians and lovers during a transitional time in the history of jazz. The movie starts at 7 p.m. A $5 admission fee will be collected at the door.

Free Energy Efficiency Workshop St. Johns County will hold a series of free energy efficiency workshops this month. Thursday?s workshop will be about LEED measurement and verification. You can learn how to verify your savings by measuring the energy that is being consumed after your project is finished. Jerrod Niemann Performs Country artist Jerrod Niemann returns to Mavericks on Thursday. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Niemann?s debut album, ?Lover, Lover,? was released last year and became his first top 40 single on the country music charts. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Mavericks box office. The concert is for those 21 or older.

Jacksonville University Music Faculty Showcase Join the Jacksonville University artists for an evening of contemporary, classical and jazz music on Friday. The Music Faculty showcase will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Terry Concert Hall. It is free. For more information, head to www.arts.ju.edu.

Founding of St. Augustine Celebrate the 446th anniversary of the founding of St. Augustine on Saturday. There will be a historical re-enactment of Admiral Don Pedro Menendez De Aviles landing in 1565, a grand procession to the Mission Nombre de Dios Museum and a lecture about the founding by Dr. Michael Gannon. This event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Mission Nombre de Dios and Shrine of Our Lady La Leche. Additional activities will take place at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park following Dr. Gannon?s speech. Admission is free to this event.

Recovery Walk This month is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. A Recovery Walk will be held Saturday to celebrate the lives of those who made a commitment to recover. The walk will begin at 8 a.m. at the offices of River Region on Park Street. Participants will walk to the Landing and back.

Delbert McClinton Performs He has been making music for four decades. Now, Delbert McClinton is bringing his musical talent to Jacksonville. He will perform Saturday at the Florida Theatre beginning at 8 p.m. To purchase tickets, head to www.floridatheatre.com.

Grandparent?s Weekend Come celebrate Grandparent?s weekend at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Senior Wellness Health Seminar The Florida Blue Center will celebrate seniors at this month?s seminar. Local seniors and their families are invited to a free health seminar. There will be two special presentations by motivational speaker, Greg Gaines. The presentations will begin at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There will also be free health screenings, massages and one-on-one consultations. Statewide Texaco Country Showdown The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is hosting the statewide finals of the Texaco Country Showdown on Saturday. Eight winners from around the state will compete for the Showdown title, $1,000 in cash and the right to compete in one of the five national regional contests. "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" You can see the story of two con men at the Alhambra Theatre. "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is currently being performed at the Theatre. "God Of Carnage" It was one of the most talked about comedies of the 2009 Broadway season. Now, you can see "God Of Carnage" at the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville. The show opens on Sept. 2 and will run through Sept. 25. The scene of "God of Carnage" is set in a New York City apartment where two sets of parents arrange a meeting to discuss a playground altercation between their 11-year-old sons.
