Pedestrian struck by truck, killed on Philips Highway

62-year-old woman hit late Thursday night

A woman was killed while walking on Philips Highway late Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jeremy Badour, 25, was driving southbound on Philips near Reba Avenue around 11:30 p.m. and was in a left turn lane, troopers said.

They said 62-year-old Irene Cepeda was walking in the left turn lane when Badour's Ford F-250 pickup truck hit and killed Cepeda, troopers said.

They said no charges are pending.
