Woman sought after robbing Hess store

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify a woman who robbed a Westside Hess gas station early Monday morning.

Police said the woman went into the store at 8079 Ramona Blvd. just before 2:30 a.m. They said she had her hand in her purse and approached the register.

The woman asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes, and the clerk placed the cigarettes on the counter when the woman demanded cash from the register, police said.

The woman said she had a gun in her purse, and the clerk complied with her demands and placed the cash from the register into a plastic Hess bag, police said. The woman then took the bag and walked out of the store.

The robber is described as a white woman with red hair, a noticeable pimple/spot on her left cheek, and crooked front teeth.
