Grand Jury Indicts St. Marys Man On Murder-For-Hire Charges

POSTED: Friday, June 13, 2008

A Camden County grand jury this week indicted a St. Marys man who is accused of trying to hire someone to kill his ex-wife.

Jessie Lee Losey, 32, was charged with criminal intent to commit murder and solicitation of murder.

Losey was arrested after a joint investigation between the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Camden and Brantley counties, and the police departments in St. Marys and Kingsland.

According to the indictment, Losey provided money to purchase a gun and solicited another person to shoot his former wife. Authorities said the man solicited to commit the crime went to the GBI in late May.

Losey remains in the Camden County Jail.

Losey was owner of A&J Motorsports in St. Marys, which closed earlier this year.
