"Getting a handle on County expenditures: Giving large pay raises to a select few employees in the worst economy since the depression and paying the county manager $193,000 per year.
"Paving projects: The county not making good use of the $71 million borrowed for road improvement in 2009.
"Transparency of Government: More items need to be discussed in the public meetings. It is hard to believe that the county commissioners can agree on a topic without discussion over 95% of the time."

"I am the only candidate that has actually worked in Clay County government. I served as Public Safety Director for 26 years and also served as County Administrator for 10 months during budget preparation."
