Paul Ryan will spend a number of days in Republican stronghold states next week, not to win over more voters but instead to help the GOP fill its campaign coffers.

While the Republican vice-presidential nominee has spent a majority of his time campaigning in battleground states such as Ohio, Virginia and Florida, it is notable the campaign is sending Ryan on a fundraising push less than two weeks before Election Day.

Running mate Mitt Romney, who is in Florida preparing for Monday night's third presidential debate, attended his final finance event of the campaign in Palm Beach on Saturday.

There will be just 13 days left until Election Day when Ryan embarks on the fundraising swing Wednesday, beginning with Georgia, then onto South Carolina and Alabama on Friday.

Invitations featuring Ryan at events in Texas on Thursday were distributed, but the campaign told CNN he would not be traveling there.

State party officials and sources with access to invitations confirmed a number of upcoming events, including some that were posted online by the Sunlight Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to government transparency.

Ryan will travel to Atlanta on Wednesday for an evening reception that will cost supporters $500 to attend, according to Chris Kelleher, communications director for the Georgia Republican Party. There will also be a roundtable discussion with Ryan that requires a $25,000 donation per couple.

On Friday, Ryan is expected to attend events in South Carolina and Alabama.

Barry Wynn, former chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party and finance co-chairman for Romney's campaign in the state, confirmed the vice-presidential hopeful will attend a breakfast at the home of Greenville developer Phil Hughes on Friday.

Since 1980, the first-in-the-South primary state had selected the eventual Republican presidential nominee, but that streak ended when Newt Gingrich won the Republican primary in January.

Romney did not spend much time campaigning there leading up to the primary but Wynn, who supported Texas Gov. Rick Perry early in GOP presidential race, said in an earlier report he expected 100 people to attend but he told CNN that was a conservative estimate based on early response. Tickets for a general reception are $1,000 and a photo opportunity will require $5,000 donations. Those who give $25,000 can attend a private reception Romney's running mate.

The seven-term Wisconsin congressman is also expected to travel to Alabama, according to Shana Kluck, communications director for the Alabama Republican Party. Ryan will attend a fundraising luncheon at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.

The day after Romney's last debate, the Republican running mates will campaign together in battleground states, holding rallies in Henderson, Nevada, and Morrison, Colorado.
