Making a Positive Change

Each year, citizen volunteers and JCCI committees identify problems facing Jacksonville. With their input, an issue is selected to become the subject of in-depth study. The Committee, made up of ordinary citizens, meets weekly for six months to unravel the causes of the problem and make recommendations to resolve them. Since 1975, decision-makers have given these studies the consideration and the action they deserve. And, they have worked to make our area a better place for all residents.

The current study asks how should the City of Jacksonville approach local government financing to best ensure financial sustainability while meeting the expectations of the community?

Check out the answers at: OUR MONEY, OUR CITY: FINANCING JACKSONVILLE'S FUTURE. The study group meets every Tuesday from noon until 1:30 until April 2009 at JCCI. Click out more on the Study Blog.
