Marion Jones

NCAA women’s basketball standout Marion Jones, who played for the North Carolina Tar Heels, became an international track star. The U.S. sprinter set a single-Games record for women at the 2000 Sydney Games when she claimed five total medals, including three golds (100m, 200m, 4x400m relay) and two bronze (long jump, 4x100m relay). Later, Jones was stripped of her medals when in 2007 she admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs. She served time in federal prison for lying to federal investigators.
