Tebow Ready For Emotional Home Finale
POSTED: Thursday, November 26, 2009
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida quarterback Tim Tebow hopes to take one more victory lap around The Swamp when the top-ranked Gators (11-0) host Florida State (6-5) on Saturday.
Tebow's final home game probably will be an emotional spectacle, beginning with his final walk into the stadium.
Pregame ceremonies will honor the Heisman Trophy winner and his fellow seniors, whose 46 wins are the most for a single class in SEC history.
After four years, two Southeastern Conference championships, two national titles, the Heisman and a chance to lead the program to its first perfect season, the Gators and their fans are set to send their leader off in style.
Tebow won't share the honors and emotions alone. He is among 23 seniors on the team who will touch the Gator head and walk through the tunnel and into the swamp for the last time.
Kickoff will be just after 3:30 p.m.
