JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jerry Moulton and Phillip Kelly aboard the "Time Served" out of St. Augustine held on with their 45.15 pound kingfish caught on day 1 to win the 36th annual Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament.
"It was the second fish we caught in the morning. When we brought it into the boat we were guessing it was about 44-45 pounds and we were done fishing after that," said Moulton.

The prize for first place in the big fish category is a 22 foot Contender sport fishing boat, complete with motor and trailer valued at $82,500. The 2nd place through 10th place anglers in the biggest fish category also got prize money ranging from $5,000 to $675.
There was a new twist in the aggregate category this year allowing anglers to weigh in two fish on the second day of the tournament. The winner will still be determined by the two heaviest fish caught, but this year both can be caught on day two.
The crew of the "Good Life" out of St. Augustine took the aggregate category this year with kingfish of 42.45 pounds in day one and 33.75 pounds in day two today. For the win, they will receive a Yamaha outboard motor.
Also new this year was the lady angler category. Emily Shore on the "Final Approach" took the inaugural prize with a kingfish of 36.6 pounds.
