Eight impressive starts were apparently enough for the Ducks to make a lengthy commitment to goaltender Viktor Fasth. The Ducks signed Fasth to a two-year contract extension worth $5.8 million, the team announced Wednesday morning. Fasth, 30, has taken by the NHL by storm after playing professionally for years in his native Sweden. The netminder is 8-0 in his first nine games with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage.
