JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The city of Jacksonville is celebrating 90 years of a classic college football rivalry.

The Georgia Bulldogs will be the designated home team when they take on the Florida Gators on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 3:30 p.m. at EverBank Field.

"It's my honor to welcome back the thousands of fans who have made this classic college football match-up a tradition that puts a spotlight on Jacksonville," said Mayor Alvin Brown. "This is one of the most exciting times of the year in our city, and I'd like to thank everyone from the athletes to the staff and volunteers for the important roles they play in creating an unbeatable experience right in the heart of our city."

The rivalry weekend will include the 17th Annual Ruth's Chris Steak House Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame Ceremony, RV City, Touchdown Showdown and Adams Street Experience. Touchdown Showdown and the Adams Street Experience create the ultimate game day fan experience with interactive games and displays, food and beverage, commemorative merchandise, and two jumbo screens to show the game. There will be no alcohol sales in this area.

The city will host six Sideline Safety Zones in the Sports Complex and throughout downtown Jacksonville. The sites, presented by UF & Shands Jacksonville, will provide assistance ranging from basic medical help, first aid, transportation, directions, telephone service, food, water, coffee and more. All locations will be open on Friday and Saturday.

The rivalry game has become a deep-rooted tradition in the River City for residents and visitors alike. For a complete list of activities and surrounding events, click here, and for a list of events at the Jacksonville Landing, click here.
