Report: Williams says he 'will coach again'
Ex-Saints defensive coordinator suspended over bounty program
Williams hosts an annual golf fundraiser that benefits children in his hometown of Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Williams was suspended indefinitely on March 21 by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for his admitted role in a bounty program in which players were paid for hits that injured opponents. Williams left New Orleans in January when his contract expired for the same position with good friend Jeff Fisher with the St. Louis Rams before his punishment came down.
Williams said he has not spoken to Goodell since he learned of his punishment.
Williams issued an apology for what he called a "terrible mistake."
Saints coach Sean Payton was suspended for the entire 2012 season and four players -- linebackers Jonathan Vilma and Scott Fujita and defensive linemen Anthony Hargrove and Will Smith -- appealed their suspensions but Goodell declined to reduce their varied punishment.
