Ribault girls hoops team advances to title game
Trojans will contend for their 10th state title
Sherranda Reddick scored 21 points and the Ribault girls basketball team held off Orlando Jones, 43-42, to advance to the 4A state championship game.
Ribault has won a record nine state championships in girls basketball but are looking for their first title since 2003. They will face the Dunbar at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lakeland.
The Trojans trailed 35-32 with 6 minutes to play, but they used their trademark press to go on an 11-2 run. Reddick hit the Trojans only three pointer of the game in the run and also added a layup and 3 free throws. The Trojans are 29-2 on the season.
