The New Orleans Saints will bring in free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha for a visit on Sunday, according to a report by CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco. The three-time Pro Bowler played for new Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan with the Oakland Raiders from 2004-2008. Asomugha would be a blockbuster addition to the Saints' defense, even though his star has faded a bit over the past two years. He was released by the Philadelphia Eagles after failing to live up to the expectations of a five-year, $60 million contract. Before that, the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder had established himself as one of the NFL's elite cornerbacks during his first eight seasons in Oakland, with Pro Bowl trips from 2008-2010. Obviously Ryan thinks he can still be an asset. The San Francisco 49ers also brought in Asomugha for a visit earlier this week.
