Montana State dismissed an incoming recruit from the football team following his arrest last week on charges of selling marijuana-laced brownies at an all-night high school graduation party.

Connor Thomas of Kalispell, Mont., was released from his scholarship for violating the university and athletic department codes of conduct.

Thomas was charged with two felony drug counts after he was identified as the person who sold the laced brownies for $15 apiece on June 3.

Six students, including Thomas, were sent home from the party after displaying symptoms that included hallucinations, increased heart rates and garbled speech, police said.

Thomas admitted to one police office that he made the brownies but realized he put "way too much" pot in them.

A three-sport star in football, wrestling and track and field, Thomas was one of the valedictorians at his high school after graduating with a 4.0 grade point average.

His older brother, Tyler, also was dismissed from the football team at Oregon State last year when police found him naked and intoxicated in a stranger's home.

Tyler Thomas has since joined Montana State's team.
