The Southern League has announced the mid-season All-Star teams for the North and South Divisions and the Jacksonville Suns will be represented by four players.
Catcher Kyle Skipworth, Outfielder Jake Smolinski, Pitcher AJ Ramos and Pitcher Evan Reed will represent the Jacksonville Suns on June 19th in Kodak, Tennessee for the Southern League All-Star Game.
Skipworth is batting .218 on the season with six home runs and 26 RBI in 48 games for the Suns.
Smolinski heads to the All-Star Game after hitting .298 with 12 doubles and 14 RBI. Smolinski is on the DL at the moment (concussion), but could be cleared in time for the game.
Ramos is one of two relievers earning All-Star honors as he compiled a 3-0 record with an 0.92 ERA in 23 appearances this season.
Reed, who is currently tied in saves with Mobiles' Marshall and Pensacolas' Joseph, has saved 12 games for the Suns this season and boasts a 3-1 record with a 2.05 ERA.
