Charlie Wi fired a 3-under 69 Saturday at Spyglass Hill and has a three-stroke lead after the third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
The 40-year-old birdied the 4th, 12th and 17th holes in a bogey-free round to bring his total score down to -15.
Ken Duke sits in second and is three shots off the pace after he shot a 5-under 65 at Monterey Peninsula.
Tiger Woods rocketed up the leaderboard with a 5-under 67 at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Woods reeled off five birdies in a six-hole stretch and currently sits in third, four strokes back of Wi heading into the final round.
Woods hasn't won a tournament featuring a full field since the Australian Masters in November 2009. He won the Chevron World Challenge in December against an 18-player field.
Wi hasn't won in seven years on the PGA Tour.
