Bolles head football coach Corky Rogers in good condition at Mayo Clinic

Bolles football coach Corky Rogers returned to the football field for the start of spring practice May 1. Rogers underwent septuple bypass surgery in January.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bolles head football coach Corky Rogers was taken to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Monday were he is said to be in good condition.

Florida's all-time winningest high school coach was on vacation in North Carolina when he fell ill.  Rogers, 72, was then taken to a nearby hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee, Saturday night.

The hospital said that the Rogers family had asked hospital personnel not to divulge any information on his condition. They would also not comment on what procedure Rogers had.

The procedure was not heart related, according to a Bolles School spokesperson.

Rogers was hospitalized in 2012 with heart bypass surgery, but returned soon after to coach.

With the Bolles School, Rogers has won 10 state championships and has a career record of 453-83-1.
