Clemons fails to report for Jags camp

Clemons misses start of camp due to "personal reasons"

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After quarterbacks and rookies reported for training camp on Monday, the rest of the Jaguars veterans were scheduled to report on Thursday morning. All players were accounted for except defensive end Chris Clemons.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said that Clemons didn't report for "personal reasons." Clemons also skipped the voluntary portion of the Jaguars OTA's but was present for June's mandatory minicamp.

Bradley didn't go into much detail about Clemons' absence but said he had talked with Clemons over the past couple of days.

"This one is a little concerning," said Bradley. "My hope is we can work through this. I talked to him last night and again this morning. Hopefully we can come up with a decision to speed this up a little quicker. I don't see this as a situation that's extended."

Clemons, 33, was second on the Jaguars with eight sacks last season.
