FSU falls in OT in NIT semifinal

NEW YORK – Florida State fell in overtime Tuesday night to Minnesota in the NIT semifinals 67-64.

FSU seniors Okaro White and Ian Miller playing in their last games led the Seminoles with 16 points a piece. Devin Bookert chipped in 13 points.

Bookert's running three pointer at the end of regulation tied the game at 60 and forced overtime.

In overtime Minnesota did not score a field goal going seven of nine at the free throw line.

Ian Miller scored the only field goal of the extra period with 6.1 seconds left to cut the Minnesota lead to 66-64.

Maurice Walker then made one of two free throws to increase the lead to 67-64.

Miller rushed up the court for a tying three pointer but the shot was long off the back of the rim.

Florida State finishes the season 22-14.
