Winston leads Garnet to win in FSU spring game

Heisman trophy winner throws 55 passes

TALLAHASSEE – It's been a wild 24 hours for Jameis Winston but it did not show on the football field in Florida State's spring game at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Winston threw for 396 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Garnet team to a 31-14 victory over the Gold team. Winston completed 27 of his 55 passes along with an interception.

The Heisman trophy winner began his morning in Atlanta with the baseball team where they take on Georgia Tech in a weekend series. After a game on Friday night, Winston flew back home to Tallahassee Saturday morning to compete in the spring game. He will return to Atlanta in time for the final game of the series against the Yellow Jackets.
