DE Ryan Davis re-signs with Jaguars

The exclusive-rights free agent had 6.5 sacks with the Jaguars last season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars signed exclusive rights free agent defensive end Ryan Davis to a contract, the club announced today.


Davis has played in 24 games for the Jaguars over the past three seasons after signing as a rookie free agent in 2012. The former Bethune-Cookman standout has 7.5 career sacks including a career-high 6.5 in 2014. His career totals also include 22 tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception and two passes defensed.

Davis played in all 16 games in 2014 for the first time in his career. He opened the season with a sack in each of the first two games and had a career-high two sacks against Miami in Week 8.
