Ed White rolls to 34-17 victory over Columbia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ed White hosted Columbia in a battle for a district win Friday night.

Early in the 1st quarter, Ed White showed their speed when Taylor Thomas took the handoff and got North South in a hurry, all the way for the 60 yard score. The Commanders take the lead, 7-0.

After a Columbia field goal pulled them to within 7-3, on the ensuing kickoff, Eric Vickers goes straight through the coverage then makes the kicker miss-- and he's gone 14-3, Commanders. They added a field goal to make it 17-3 at the half and it looked like they were on their way.

In the second half, the Tigers try to mount a comeback. Nathan Taylor hit Alex Weber for the long completion. Very nice throw and catch.

A few plays later, Kamario Bell takes the handoff off the left side for the 2 yard touchdown. Tigers make it a one score game, 17-10.

Then after a quick three and out the Tigers got the ball back, but the Commander defense came up big, stripping the ball from Darius Dallas, then recovering the fumble.

Two plays later DeShawn Patterson hits Javonte Ferguson in stride in the end zone to make it 24-10.

And Ed White would win it by a final of 34-17.
