Executive Women's Day at The Players

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – It was all about the women on Monday at The Players as female business leaders gathered for Executive Women's Day.

The event featured 275 executives from the First Coast with talks from other successful women including Sherry Whay, agent for PGA Tour golfer Billy Horschel.

"Most of these women are high executive level women in their business," said Whay. "I am probably one of the few women in this business and it's been exciting to tell them what I do on a daily basis because it's almost like with a sports agent, it's pulling back the magic curtain."

This is the fourth year of the event at The Players Tournament but the PGA Tour held similar events at 17 tournaments in 2013.

"It's been awesome," said Mariellie Mundy of Miller Electric. "It's empowering to get to know so many amazing women, especially local women in leadership so it's been a great experience."
