Florida beats Georgia

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 7 Florida used two big runs in the first half to easily beat Georgia 72-50, for their 25th consecutive win at home.

The Gators trailed 6-4 early, but scored the next 13 points to take a 17-6 lead. Five minutes later Florida scored 10 consecutive points to take a 30-10 lead with 4:47 left in the first half. The Gators(14-2, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) led 36-16 at halftime.

The Bulldogs (8-7, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) struggled in the first half against the Gators defense scoring only six field goals while turning the ball over 12 times.

Michael Frazier led the Gators with 21 points. Dorian Finney-Smith added 14 points, Will Yeguete chipped in 12 points while Gators big man Patric Young scored 10 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

The Gators travel to Auburn on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip. You can see that game on Channel 4.
