Florida loses to UConn in Final Four

ARLINGTON, TX – Florida saw its 30-game win streak come to an end in a 63-53 loss to Connecticut in the Final Four.

The Gators jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the game but the Huskies controlled the rest of the game. UConn outscored Florida 38-31 in the second half and shot 56 percent from the floor.

Jacksonville native Patric Young scored 19 points in a losing effort. SEC player of the year Scottie Wilbekin had arguably his worst game of the season, finishing with just four points and one assist. The Gators shot just 1 of 10 from 3-point range.
