Fowler receives Madden NFL 16 rating

Fowler ranked 6th among rookies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – August 25th is circled on the calendars of most NFL fans. That is the day when Madden 16 will be released, and thousands of men, women and children will be ripping the plastic off the latest edition. Like most things in the NFL pre-season hype comes to be expected. Madden is no different. The folks over at EA Sports have whet the appetite of fans by releasing the overall rankings for certain position groups. For our purposes we'll focus on the rookies.

No, Dante Fowler won't take a single snap for the Jaguars this season, but he did earn a nice ranking on this year's game. The No. 3 overall picks was rated with 86 speed, 89 acceleration, and 83 in pursuit. He also checked in nicely with 84 agility and 87 in tackling.

All of those led to an overall ranking of 79 which is the sixth highest grade given to a rookie this season.
