FSU headed to NIT Final Four

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State is headed to the NIT Final Four in New York next week after beating Louisiana Tech 78-75 Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs had two chances to tie the game in the last 12 seconds but both of Raheem Appleby's shots were off the mark.

FSU (22-13) took the lead for good when Ian Miller hit a three pointer with 7:12 remaining in the game to give FSU a 63-60 lead.

Aaron Thomas continued his stellar play in the NIT leading FSU with 21 points and nine rebounds. Okaro White chipped in 20 points and eight rebounds.

FSU  will play Minnesota in the NIT semifinals on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Seminoles have advanced to the NIT semis for the first time since 1997.
