JAGA tournament introduces new features for 2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 55th Jacksonville Amateur Championship gets started on Thursday at Queens Harbour country club. They've introduced a few new features for 2016. 

News and Notes: 

•             This is the 55th Jacksonville Amateur Championship, conducted by the Jacksonville Golf Association (JAGA), Jacksonville's oldest and most prestigious amateur competition. It features high school, college and top amateur players ranging from their 20s into their late 50s.

•             27 participants have handicap indexes of 0 or less.

•             Tee times all four days will run from 8 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m.

•             For the first time, JAGA is offering live scoring for the Championship via Leaderboard King of Jacksonville. The link for live scoring is:  https://jaga.leaderboardking.com/public_leaderboard

•             Also for the first time, World Amateur Golf Ranking points will be awarded to the top finishes.

•             Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club is the host site, located on Atlantic Blvd., between Hodges and San Pablo.

•             Spectators are welcome. They should identify themselves at the Queen's Harbour security gate as attending the Championship at the golf club.
