Huge motocross weekend in town

The Loretta Lynn qualifyiers are Saturday and Sunday at WW Motorsports Park

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – WW Motocross Park, a premier motocross facility located west of Jacksonville, will host the Loretta Lynn Southeast Area Qualifier on April 4 and 5.

Showcasing hundreds of riders, the event at WW Motocross Park is one of eight southeast area qualifiers where racers compete for a spot in the Loretta Lynn Amateur Regional Qualifier, June 13 and 14 at Gatorback Cycle Park in Alachua, Fla.

The winner of the regional event will go on to compete in the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, July 26 through Aug. 1, at Loretta Lynn Ranch & Campground in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

"We're very honored, and proud, to be hosting the Loretta Lynn area qualifier," said Wayne Scarborough, Jr., owner of WW Motocross Park. "When we were building this track, we hoped organizers for events like the Loretta Lynn would be interested in hosting here, and it's a dream come true that it is happening."

Practice will be held Friday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 4 at 8:15 a.m.; and Sunday, April 5 at 8:15 a.m. The races will begin immediately following practice on Saturday and Sunday.

Multi-day passes start at $35 per person when purchased Friday, $25 per person when purchased Saturday after 6 a.m., and $15 per person on Sunday after 6 a.m. Children five years old and younger are free. All passes can be purchased at WW Motocross Park.
