JACKSONVILLE -

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Chad Henne agreed to terms on a new 2-year deal worth $8 million, including $4.5 million guaranteed in the first year.

Henne started 13 games for the Jaguars in 2013. He passed for 3,241 yards last year along with 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He became the first Jaguars quarterback to throw for more than 3,000 yards since David Garrard in 2009.

Henne led the Jaguars to a 4-4 record in the final eight games of the season after an 0-8 start. He signed with the team as unrestricted free agent in 2012 after four seasons with the Dolphins.

The latest move by the Jaguars could signal the end of the Blaine Gabbert era in Jacksonville. The team drafted Gabbert with the 10th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Gabbert is entering the final year of his four-year, $12 million rookie contract. Team owner Shad Khan also indicated earlier in the year that the Jaguars would draft at least one quarterback.
