Jaguars sign WR Greg Jenkins

Jenkins will compete for spot at punt/kick returner

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With training camp starting a week from today the Jaguars have added wide-receiver Greg Jenkins to the roster. Jenkins, 6-1, 205, entered the league in 2013 as an undrafted rookie with Oakland. With the Jaguars releasing Ace Sanders last week there's an opening at punt returner. Jenkins will likely join that competition. During his rookie season, Jenkins returned six punts for 49 yards (8.2 punt return avg.) and 10 kickoffs for 221 yards (22.1 kick return avg.).

Jenkins made the transition to wide-receiver after playing two years at quarterback for Alabama State. After signing Jenkins the Jaguars now have 90 players on the roster. The move also reunites him with offensive coordinator Greg Olson who ran the Raiders offense for the past two seasons.
