South Carolina guard A.J. Cann was taken by the Jaguars 67th overall in the third round Friday night.  Cann missed only one start in four years with the Gamecocks.

An All-SEC first team selection in 2014, Cann is also a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree.

The Jaguars have now drafted a guard on the offensive line for the second straight year with Cann joining Brandon Linder, who started 15 games in 2014.  It is something that General Manager Dave Caldwell says is necessary for bolstering the offensive line,.

"It's a sign that we have to run the ball and protect the QB.  The game is won in the trenches."

The Jaguars will continue the draft tomorrow in the 4th round.  They have 4 selections remaining as of Friday night.
