Jax NASL team gaining momentum

Cole Pepper sat down with team owner Mark Frisch to talk about what is next for the team.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The new Jacksonville professional sports team begins play in the North American Soccer League (NASL) in 2015. There are some milestones to accomplish before then, including unveiling the team name, settling on a home field and designing the team logo and uniforms, known as kits.

They'll also be announcing the team's first head coach and first players in the coming months.

Team owner Mark Frisch is from a longtime Jacksonville family, so he knows the kind of impact that the team can make in his hometown. Although the team won't begin play for another 15 months, Frisch is looking forward to those milestones.

In December, the team hosted the first of a series of town hall meetings to inform the community and start connecting with soccer fans and fans who want to know more about the game and the team.
