Nation's No. 1 team denies Bolles in title game

ORLANDO, Fla. – The third time the Bolles Bulldog faced Miami's Booker T. Washington for a Florida Div. 4A champion was not a charm with the Tornadoes beating the Bulldogs 40-14.

Bolles -- with a state-record 11 championships -- beat Washington two years, but fell in 2012 and this year.

"I'm really proud of our kids, you know if things were a little different here or there we'll see, but I think the better team probably won it tonight.," Bolles Coach Corky Rogers said after the game. "I think our kids thought we had a chance to win it and I kinda thought we did too, and they played like that for a while, but give Booker T credit."

Bolles finishes the season 10-4.
