Fans, pundits excited by Jaguars draft picks

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Seldom do we hear the country say the Jaguars are the best in the NFL at something. Now we are. There’s a lot of agreement nationally that of the 32 teams in the NFL the team with the best draft was the Jaguars. This is getting fans quite excited about the future.

ESPN, USA Today and others have a lot of praise for the Jaguars right now., saying the Jags got a really good player in Thursday night's first round of the NFL draft, Jalen Ramsey, from Florida State.

The praise keep coming Friday night after the team selected Myles Jack in the second round. A lot of analysts out there are saying Jack was the biggest score in the draft.

"Wow! Been a long time since I heard that.  Spent a lot of years sitting and waiting.  So hopefully the waiting is over with," Jaguars fan Josh Keenam said.

"I think we did a good job. I like our defense this year. I have a lot of confidence this year," said Chris and Alicia Clifford.

Fans and the national media haven't been high on the Jaguars in recent years and think the teal and black just got gold in some highly prized rookies.

"It’s exciting because everybody’s losing their faith in the Jaguars and everybody needs a boost to see that it’s heading in the right direction," said Greg Downs.

All of the college superstars will join a defense that struggled last season. Some fans remain cautious.

"You got to see what the performance is going to be. You can say anything, but when you hit the field that’s how it happens," Robert Carswell said.
