Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey released from hospital

Coach began feeling sick Monday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey was hospitalized Monday after he began feeling sick in his office, team officials said in a news release. He was released Monday evening.

Team officials said Mularkey was in the office early Monday morning, and when he didn't feel well, he went to the training room to see one of the trainers, who took him to Baptist Medical Center.

Mularkey underwent tests, and after initially thinking he may be kept overnight, team officials later said he would be released Monday evening.

Team officials said they expect the coach to be back at work Tuesday.

"I did talk to him earlier, and it is business as usual at EverBank," defensive coordinator Mel Tucker said, filling in for Mularkey at a Monday afternoon news conference.

Tucker said he met with the players earlier in the afternoon and informed them of the situation. He said the players were "poised and patient" when they heard the news.
