LONDON – It's known for its sights and sounds and a different kind of football. But this week, London, England, is being invaded American football fans.
"Go big or go home!" one fan said.
While the Big Cats haven't had any big years recently -- in fact, their record downright stinks -- there are still many die-hard fans making the trip to root on their team.
Vlad Adunts is making the 4,000-mile trip across the pond.
"The whole trip together with the flight, the hotel, the game ticket, a couple parties here and there that the NFL is doing. It's about $4,500," said Adunts.
He and his friends have been planning the trip for a while, and he's meeting a big group in the city known as the Big Smoke.
"A lot of excitement; a lot of energy," Matt Verrecchia said before he left for England. "Everyone I know that is going is really looking forward to it. They're already starting to pack up and taking some great gear that they just bought."
Verrecchia says even though the team hasn't been living up to its potential on the field and ranks last in the league, the fans in the stands are among the best.
"We may be 0-7, but we got some of the loudest voices in the NFL," Verrecchia said.
These guys are excited to see the team compete on a whole other continent, and say that win or lose, It'll be a great time.
"If you're fan of the team, you've got to be a fan," Vlad Adunts said. "You can't just be a fan when they're winning and not when they're losing. It just doesn't work that way. If it's your team, it's your team matter what."
